Naturally Boosting Testosterone

Boosting Testosterone Naturally

Do you ever wonder what life could be like if you can make 1 tweak to your body to build more muscle, shred body fat, improve your sex life, improve sleep quality, improve energy levels and be more aggressive, confident and assertive?

Well that one tweak is called Testosterone. We all have it, some more or less than others.

I am sure most of you already know about testosterone and some of it's benefits. However, for those of you who want to know more and become an expert in this subject this article is for you.

What is Testosterone?

Testosterone is the hormone that is produced mainly in the testicles in men. Testosterone is the single most important androgen hormone in the body and can influence many things in the body such as: Sex drive, mood & energy, muscle strength, red blood cell production, and overall well being.

Now, on the flip side. We all have estrogen in our bodies as well. Estrogen is the main hormone inside women. When testosterone levels are lower in our bodies, estrogen is usually elevated and this can lead to unwanted side effects such as: Horrible sex drive, Erectile Dysfunction, Depression, inability to build muscle, storing more body fat, horrible energy, horrible mood, sleeping issues, anxiety, mental haze, and the list goes on!

If you're anything like I think you are, you're probably wanting to make sure you keep your testosterone levels as high as possible!

I want to share with you some of the ways testosterone can be boosted naturally.

#1 Pay Attention Your Stress levels

When you experience higher than normal amounts of stress mentally, emotionally, or physically your body will release cortisol (Stress Hormone). Cortisol is a very good thing in short spurts, like when you wake up, or in dangerous situations. However, when cortisol levels are consistently elevated, it will drive testosterone levels into the dirt. Like we went over earlier, this can lead to terrible sleep, mood, anxiety, depression, etc. So make sure to keep a good eye on the stress load you are carrying, because they can seriously hinder your gains and quality of life.*

#2 Resistance Training

So I don't have to tell many of you to get your ass in the gym and However I do need to tell you that before building a program or diving straight into "killing it" in the gym, you can seriously lower your testosterone if your training improperly. Most body-building websites or magazines will preach about doing body part splits, which is fine. However, the lack of mass being trained will lead to small hormone responses. Another issue, I had to learn the hard way was overtraining.... Like most of us were taught to do.  Overtraining can leaded to prolonged and elevated cortisol levels which can drive testosterone down FAST.  So after a ton of research and trial and error I learned that full body workouts that are primarily multi-joint movements like squats, dead lifts, pull ups, push ups, etc will lead to higher hormonal responses and can help your body recover faster.*

Hopefully these 2 quick testosterone tips help you along your journey!
